Home Again

Quilt Market was a whirlywind of fabric, friends and (too much) fun and i always leave with a wonderful feeling of knowing that we are creatively connected in our pursuits of happiness. Now wouldn't it be nice if this world were just a teenie bit smaller so we could visit with each other more often? Or better yet, maybe we should petition for our own state! Sewists and crafters welcome. Hey, the southwest is pretty and sprawling and we could take a little chunk from here and there and claim it for our own!
As usual, i didn't take enough photos at Market, so i'm going to sift through what i have and will post them once i finish digging out from my inbox. In the meantime, hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween! Franny went as a possessed feral cat. Spooky!

  2. Welcome home Kate. Great to hear you had a wonderful time and let your hair down. You deserve too with all the hard work you do all year. Poor wee Franny on Halloween, it must be so scary for the pets, I know how much our pets used to hide. Love the photo of Franny, gorgeous

  6. Hi Kate, We have been seeing such adorable pics posted around of you at market. So sorry we missed you. I must tell a little tale and let you know your sweet hubby was busy while you were working. Sarah was tickled orange to see his comment on our halloween post. So kind of him. Hope you can take a few days to catch up and rest up before the next big project.

  9. Kate, I love your designs. My favorite quote (lately) is: Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass....it's about learning to dance in the rain. -? anonymous or I don't know who to give credit to.

I associate that with: Quilting isn't about waiting for the perfect fabric to match the perfect pattern but about learning to weave or quilt your life with the scraps you find. (What a treasure trove Moda sent you!) Quilt and be happy, - Anne Marie D., Needham MA

  10. Kate, I was looking @ a fabric site and almost ended up quilting a candy quilt except I held back due to TMQIP (too many quilts in progress) already. Imagine fat quarters of candy like dots, kisses, etc. etc. and how well that would sell! Hope the idea helps.

Also, fQ's that had edging or binding intended purposes (like a long branch w/ leaves whole length of fabric or any ivy branch, ditto etc.)
