Theme Song

I saw this card on Pinterest the other day, and it tickled my funny bone:
It was made by Richele Silva and is available in her Etsy shop, richiedesign.

It got me thinking. Do you sometimes have theme songs for the kind of day you're having? Maybe one that emerges as the day's events unfold? Could be because of what you're working on, or laughing at, or debating over, or juggling, or all the things you should be doing but can't because of all the other things that might have a certain degree of red-flag priority? I do! Especially with all the prep-work that has been in full-swing for Surtex next month. For the past couple weeks, my theme song has been this (not the intro, the main part). Today it's already been some of this and then after a measuring challenge went awry, it turned into this. It has developed overtones of this (thanks to you-know-who) and the afternoon seems to be kicking off with a little of this. Thankfully, somewhere waaay in the very very distant background is this.
What's your theme song today?

  4. Oh What a Beautiful Morning from Oklahoma would be good for me today. It is a gorgeous day and everything is going my way...for now! I was sure glad to see the Rocky theme song come up at the end of your day though! Seems you will triumph in the end!

  6. This is such a fun post! I'm listening to ABBA's Dancing Queen now & trying to remember what it was like to be young and sweet only 17! LOL!

I think today my theme song would be, "I want to buy the world a Coke" because the doctor told me to avoid my beloved coke so I won't get more kidney stones. WAAAAAAAAAHHH!

So glad you've got Rocky helping you fly now!

  7. Well, you've certainly had some great theme music for your day. (IMHO, any day with ABBA in it is a great day LOL.) Did you pin that shark poster? 'Cause it's awesome, but I somehow don't remember seeing it!

  9. SO funny! Great post. Today is definitely a GoGos "Vacation" kind of day (I need one. Really.) But I'm also feeling like it might have a Pearl Jam kind of grungy, gritty undercurrent. Hoping you hear some Queen "We are the Champions" by the end of the day!

  10. That's hysterical !!! Usually my theme song is Sugarland's "There's Gotta Be Something More" (that's after I try and try to get up on the right side of bed and make it "Good Mornin' Good Mornin' " sung by a chirpy Debbie Reynolds .... grrrrrrr
