  6. Okay, since I left a comment before I realized you were actually doing a giveaway and not just trying to get our attention, I'll leave another! If I were a fabric designer (one of my dream jobs btw), I'd name my fall collection Rilla or Silver Bush after something that has a very special place in my heart.

  7. Oh that's a tough one. I think since we farm, it would be something to do with harvest. Like harvest moon (or has that been done??) or something farm-ish.

    ReplyDelete
  8. OOooooh, a giveaway! Love it! Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the colors, the falling leaves, and the weather. Ideas for naming a fall line of fabric? Hmmmm....maybe *Golden* (one of my favorite cities in CO and the name reminds me of the changing leaves). Or *Autumn Vineyard*! ~amy

  9. Squeeeee!! You're giving away Fandango FQs? I think I'm hyperventilating! I love.Love.LOVE Fandango! {deep breath!}

    Ok.

Hmmmm...A name for "my" fall line? I would probably go with something like -Crisp Harvest-, because I love (and really miss) the crisp fall weather up north and harvest because, well, fall and because it can mean so much more...collect, gather, store, stash...

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'd name a fall collection..."Cedar Mountain"...my favorite place to drive to see the leaves change color in the fall.
Also, I don't see a "follow" link on your sidebar.

    Umm, Fabric line? Gatherings.

  15. Depending on what I was going for, I think it would have to be Crunch, for crunchy leaves. Either that or maybe Simmer. Always reminds me of a good cookin' going on in the kitchen when it's a tad chilly outside :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Having never considered making a line of fabrics or what in the world I would name them, this is a hard question.

If it had anything to do with yellows and golds, I'd call it Yellow Moon. That's as creative as I can get.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Being from New England, I think of foliage and all of the leaf peepers, so I'd probably name a fall fabric line "leaf peepers." BTW... Fandango is FANTASTIC!!! I just love the line.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I love Fandango! It's so pretty that I know I'll buy a ton of it even if I don't win your giveaway. :o)

  35. River Reflections!

I'll have to call my quilt shop tomorrow - I got a Fandango charm pack and pieced a wall hanging top, but I was waiting for the yardage to figure out borders and binding! Love it! :)

  48. Love Fandango, what a yummy bundle!
If I were naming a fall collection I think maybe Autum breeze or Serenity because I love the feel of autumn when it (finally) gets here after a long hot summer. And Serenity because it's just a peaceful time of year. ☺

    ReplyDelete
  49. I love this post - and I love Fandango - I already have some charm squares of it.

If I hade a fall fabric collection I would have to have a name that would have to sum up all the things I love about fall - crisp mornings, the changing of the leaves, football, pumpkins, apple cider, shorter days, pot of soup on the stove..... Maybe I would call the line "Autumn Rituals".

    ReplyDelete
  50. Um, that is an insanely large, gorgeous stack of yumminess! I am probably way overthinking this but maybe something like Capistrano, but my concept of fall is wacky because I live in southern California ;). Thanks for the opportunity!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  54. well my idea of Harvest has been well picked over...how about just Autumn. what about Cool Nights?
perhaps a peek at the colors or theme would help generate some names?

  56. If I were a fabric design, I call my fall collection 'Plantation Picnic' because thats when we have our annual family picnic at a local historic plantation.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I guess it would depend on the subject matter of the fabric (floral, leaves, pumpkins etc.), but I like the name Harvest Moon.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think if I was a fabric designer, I'd name my fall line "Cinnamon and Cider." Those are two favorite scents that I think of when I think of the time between Summer and Christmas.

No idea if that has ever been used before!

I already follow you on Google Reader, so I can't help you with your dinner plans! Sorry!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Following! I was number #293. :)

For a fall line, I would probably go with Fair Isle. As in the sweater. Mmmm. Sweaters.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'd call my fall line "Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes...like the weather" Great question! Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love Fandango so much, it is just divine! If I was a designer I would call my Autumn range "Fruition" as it is the time of harvest and seeing the results of your hard work.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Such a beautiful line! If I had a fall fabric line to name I think I would name it after some fall food or spice like Chai or Fall Spice, but cooler! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I love this fabric, thanks for the chance to win! We love the fall weather in Illinois! You have such different names for your fabric lines, so the name you choose has to be unique, so my suggestion would be
    Crisp

    ReplyDelete
  65. Love this line! It's so much fun and works for so many things--quilts, pillows, aprons, and on and on....

A fall line name? I think "equinox," especially if it has equal parts of light and dark!

    ReplyDelete
  66. love love love Fandango.

If I had a collection coming out in the fall, I think I'd call it Fresh Horizons because fall always signals new school years for me and thus fresh beginnings/starts/horizons.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think I'd call it Brisk! With the exclamation point, of course :) Something that captures the vibrance of fall and not just the mellow march towards winter.

    Fandago is beautiful - congrats!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I LOVE your Fandago line and would love to have some! If I were a designer, I think I would try to come up with something along the lines of "Falling for WHOOOOO" with owls, leaves, and berries. I'm really into owls right now. :)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  73. Love fandango fabric! I am working with a layer cake of it now. If I were lucky enough to be a fabric designer I think I would name my fall line "going to the pumpkin patch".
    Kristin.Heaney@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  74. How about "Fall Harvest"? What a fun giveaway..thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Absolutely loving your Fandango ... already on the Christmas wish list :)!! Darn that I can't be number 300 as I've been following you for a while now! :( ... :)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Harvest Moon- just saw the most beautiful moon. Thank for the chance.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'd probably call it Harvest Crisp.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I love the Fandango line and would love a chance to win. I think I would call a Fall line, "TGIF" for Thank God It's Fall!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Fandango! I can't wait!

How about Cornucopia? Since it is a symbol of abundance and a fall is typically the end of the harvest season and there is often an abundance of fruits and vegetables.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I would name my fall fabric line Autumnal Equinox! Fandango is beautiful, one of my all time favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Hmmm... my fall line --

    - The Giving Season (I'm thinking of harvest, and when the earth gives back to us, not so much Christmas)
    - Amalgamation (because the weather, and season, and what-not "blend")
    - Sunset (days start to get shorter)
    - Until next Spring
    - Tucking in
    - Respite

Now I can stop coming up with names, because I found the one I like best... respite.

As farmers, when fall comes, even though the harvest is busy, it means life is slowing down. Yep, I'd name my fabric line "respite."

(And sorry I can't help you on the 300... I've been following for quite some time). :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Wow! That's a tough one- I think it would have "appley" reds, oranges, golds, and some really rich browns, ummm, i think i might call it...

    EQUINOX.

If I had to name a line of fall fabrics I'd call them Autumnal Blush

    ReplyDelete
  90. Ok........I have 5 kids so I'd go with a name like "Expectation"....when fall comes they start looking towards Christmas, Birthdays, Snow, etc.......and they "Expect" good and great things..........so that's my thoughts.....Love the Fandango......it was love at first sight.

    ReplyDelete
  91. What a great giveaway! I started reading the comments and you have a few lovely ones allready! I love the suggestions of Aspen and Cedar Mountain. However, if I were to name a fabric collection, I would like to see what the fabric looks like first and be inspired by the shapes and colours so the name suits the line, if you know what I mean...

Love Fandango and am following you allready.

    ReplyDelete
  92. "Autumn Sunset"

Because I would be sure to have Sunset colours in it, and we don't call it Fall here (Australia).

Of course we are lining up for spring (the blossom has started appearing) so perhaps my "fall line" should be called "Spring Skies":-).

    ReplyDelete
  93. I would name it Flutterby!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. I love Fandango! Its absolutely beautiful :)

I'm awful at names I'd call a fall line something like Autumn Dance - because I love how autumn leaves dance in the wind!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hi Kate! Fandango looks fabulous. And as I didn't have a clue what that word meant (sorry, no English native speaker) I found out that besides its intended meaning it's also the name of a fungicide...u-oh...;O).
I'm terribly bad in giving names. If I ever were to name a fall line I would probably end up with 3rd quarter of the year...okay, maybe not that bad...so ...maybe Equinox Leaves or Autumnal Breeze??
    Thanks so much for sharing!
    Julia

    ReplyDelete
  96. Oh, I love fandango so much! Actually, it's my current favorite and I dream of a fandango quilt since I've first seen your gorgeous new fabric line on the internet.
As English isn't my mother tongue I don't have the best preconditions to find a smashing name for a fabric collection but when I think of fall/autumn I think of "indian summer", crop/harvest (-> "cream of the crop"?), golden light (-> "fields of gold"), falling leaves ("foliage").
Oh, and as I don't live in the U.S., please don't exclude me from the drawing. I would certainly pay for the shipping costs!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  97. I LOVE Fandango, have already bought some pre-cuts and can't wait for the yardage.

I would call my fabric line "Autumn Jewels" - kind of after a song we used to sing in school when I was a girl and because I love the colours of autumn

    ReplyDelete
  98. Oh Kate - great attention seeking:) Love your fabrics and so pleased I have discovered your blog. I'm sure I am going to get a smile each time I read. Mmmmm fall (or as we call it autumn) names...... I would have to say 'Flutter & Float' was the first one to come to mind, then 'Dappled Light" was next. I could probably list a few more cos my brain is ticking away but don't want to overload you!!!!!! Hope you enjoy your meal out!!!!!! And will keep my Kiwi fingers and toes crossed. Ciao, Maree

    ReplyDelete
  99. Fandango looks lovely ... loved Verna too. As for a title for a fall range how about Shades of Autumn of Autumn Slumbers.

    ReplyDelete
  100. If I designed a fall line of fabric I think I would name it Pumpkin Patch and have lots of shades of orange and yellows.
This is such a super giveaway...I'd like to be your 300th follower but I've been following your blog for a while now!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Ummm, maybe Apple Crisp for a name? Something that would bring to mind the crisp autumn leaves and the smell in the air.

Fantastic giveaway! I see you're over 300 followers now--but I think most of us would have understood, without the need for a giveaway, if you said, "I don't have to cook if I get 300 followers.."! ;) I'll do just about anything to get out of cooking!

    ReplyDelete
  102. So excited to see all of those beautiful fabrics in person :D hmmm... naming is difficult, maybe 'new harvest' Sounds simple but a tiny bit modern to me.

I already follow you, so I was glad to see that you were over 300!

    ReplyDelete
  118. LOVE this fabric! Thank you for the giveaway :)

If I was a fabric designer I would name my fall collection after my Golden Retriever Autumn Rose.

I bought her in the fall and she is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen. Her red hair always makes me think of fall and my favorite flower is the single red rose. So her name became...

    Autumn Rose

    ReplyDelete

  123. If I were a fabric designer, I think I would name my fall line "Crisp" - it describes so many things about fall in Michigan - the sounds of the leaves, the air, biting into an apple at the orchard.... I LOVE fall!

I'd love to win some fandango - my best friend recently got married and requested a quilt made from your line!

  124. Umm, Autumnal Explosion, maybe? Soo excited to see Fandango yardage showing up in stores!

  125. I would name my fall collection Algonquin. Algonquin Park is a national park here in Ontario, Canada. Driving up there in the fall you see a sea of beautiful colours from the changing leaves. Camping there in the fall is just perfect -- not too hot, not too busy, beautiful colours and that wonderful crisp woodsy smell. Thanks for the giveaway!

  126. Oh I would name mine Autumn Bliss. It's simple and to me, autumn is bliss!

  129. Kate,
Oooohhh I just love your fabric lines...I am working with 12 Days of Christmas now, making my Christmas quilt. I want Fangango so badly. I want to make the pinwheel sampler quilt from Rachel at P.S. I quilt.

If I had a fall line, btw I would love to design fabrics and quilts...maybe when I grow up..ha ha ha... I would name it something like Mumms the word (I love chrysanthemums in all there colors) or Morning Dew..since it greets me every morning.

I wish I could be your 300th but I am already a loyal follower of yours. Good luck on dinner, do you get to choose where you do for dinner?

    ReplyDelete

  131. Love the Fandango fabric!

If I were a fabric designer I would choose the name 'Vineyard' or 'Harvest'.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I love the Fandango, and have used the Verna for a few things already.
I would love to be a textile designer, but just don't have a clue. For years I have wanted to design a line of silly whimsical fabrics with an alpaca theme. Being an alpaca breeder, we want alpaca themed fabrics, just like dog lovers and cat lovers. If nothing else, the breeders would use it to decorate their booths at shows. This line would be called "A Paca Fun" or "Paca Tracks". For my Fall line, I'd have something eclectic and name it "Serendipity". None of them are very Autumnish. Oh, Well.
I've been a follower for quite some time, so sorry I can't get you out and into a restaurant. Today is my 38th wedding anniversary, and I'll be eating at home. Hey, my DH cooks.

  133. I'm not quite sure what I would name a fall collection. Probably something "rustic" sounding, what can I say, I'm a nature girl, even though you couldn't tell it with all the girly girl quilts I've been making lately.

    ReplyDelete
  134. If I were a designer, I'd name the Fall collection "Crisp & Cool".

    ReplyDelete
  135. Ohhh, I have lots of ideas! I like 'Equinox' or 'Lost Lake' or perhaps 'Richford'

And of course, I love your Fandango line! Can't wait to get more than the charm pack of it that I have :)

  142. SuperNova or autumn splendor would be my choices.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Fandango is sooooo gorgeous! That's a very, very generous giveaway!!! I would name a fall line "Splendors of Fall" because of all the gorgeous fall colors of the maple & oak trees, fall flowers etc.

    ReplyDelete

    I love Fandango!

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'd call it 'bus stop'! Once that school bus starts coming, I can get back to my sewing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. Looks like you've made it to 300 - congrats!

I'd call my line "Les Bois". I live in Boise, Idaho and it's name comes from les bois which is french for 'the trees' (we're the City of Trees). It would be inspired by fall tree/nature colors.

  159. I love Autumn. A time to wind down.
If I were a designer, I'd name the line Autumn Dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Oh that fabric is gorgeous!!! It sure does grab your attention. I would name my fall fabric line "Autumn Festival". The change in the air brings with it craft festivals that usher in the holiday season.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Here in Australia we're heading into spring so the trees are starting to get their leaves not losing them. But I do love the fall colors and that special fall smell. I would call my fabric line simply Autumn Leaves!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Fandango was such a great name..how do you compete with that?

How about "After the Harvest" or Harvest Moon; or Fire Mountain? The mountains in NC look like they are ablaze in autumn. It's a spectacular site when the leaves peak.

    ReplyDelete
  163. The fabric is beautiful - a fun name for fall collection "Candy Corn". "Golden Sunset" also came to my mind - we have beautiful sunsets in Kansas but in the fall they seem more golden and crisp.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hmm. I've never thought about naming a fabric line before. If I had to pick one it would have "Home" somewhere in the title, because fall makes me thing of family, hearth and home. Another gorgeous fabric line from you. Congratulations!

    ReplyDelete
  171. I love Fandango - If I was going to design an autumn (fall) collection I would design a Paris inspired collection - rich golds and oranges and magenta.. and call it "Les feuilles aux FALL"

    ReplyDelete

I know it will be just as wonderful as 12 days of Christmas (in which I have invested heavily!) and Fandango.

  178. I hope you pick me, I am a new quilter and would love to win!!!

    ReplyDelete
  179. I would call a fall collection "Remembering September" from a beautiful broadway musical called "The Fantasticks.". There is a pretty song called "Try to Remember" and it talks about the golden month of September, mellow, yellow grain, etc. I was in the playy in high school and again as an adult with the same people, so fun, so the name has a great personal meaning... This ended up being a long story!

    ReplyDelete
  185. Hmm. Breezy or First frost. Something quick, simple, and easy to pronounce for everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  186. Thanks for this great giveaway!! Some people proposed really good names!! I would name the line: "September wind" or "When September blows"... I was born in September, you see, as it is my favorite month of the year :) Another name would be "Viento" which means "Wind" in Spanish and sounds pretty good :)

    ReplyDelete
  187. Oh what a treat it would be to win all that prettiness!

Fall is my favorite season so maybe I would call it, "Perfectly Lovely" or just "Lovely" because that's what most fall days are like. But then there's the spicy colors and scents of fall so "Fall Spice" and the colors could be names after spices...

    ReplyDelete
  188. I would dearly LOVE some Fandango - it would be fabulous!!
I might name a fall line something like Autumn Harvest. I really prefer using the termm autumn to fall and love anything autumn - the word feels cozy when the weather is turning. I'm not into Halloween terms - just me. Hope you get the dinner any ways too!!
