I couldn't figure out what to title this post, so i thought that might get your attention. Did it work? Then, i accidentally hit the "publish post" button before letting you know that you could win this huge, monstrous, immense, colossal, mountainous (you get the picture) fat quarter pile of
Fandango goodness!
Fandango goodness!
All you have to do is tell me...if you were a fabric designer, what would you name your Fall collection? That's it. Oh, and if you don't already follow my blog, can you pleeeese sign up? My husband promised to take me out to dinner when i hit 300. If you're #300, as a special thanks for freeing either of us from having to cook dinner, you'll get a little something special as well! I'll pick a name next Tuesday, the last day of August.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Haha Kate - you're hilarious! It did get my attention and if you'd really like to give some of that yumminess away, please feel free to send it my way ;)
ReplyDeleteOhh I would love some Fandango!!!
ReplyDeleteI love Verna & I'm already loving this line! Can't wait! :D
ReplyDeleteMy attention? Why yes you have it undivided. I've already started my Christmas wish list and the top thing one the list is Fandango! Love this fabric.
ReplyDeletewhat would I name my fall fabric? aspen. i love the aspen leaves in the fall...that gorgeous golden color, and the way that they shake in the sun...it's like shimmering gold. oh, and i'm a follower...have been foreva :)
ReplyDeleteOkay, since I left a comment before I realized you were actually doing a giveaway and not just trying to get our attention, I'll leave another! If I were a fabric designer (one of my dream jobs btw), I'd name my fall collection Rilla or Silver Bush after something that has a very special place in my heart.
ReplyDeleteOh that's a tough one. I think since we farm, it would be something to do with harvest. Like harvest moon (or has that been done??) or something farm-ish.
ReplyDeleteOOooooh, a giveaway! Love it! Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the colors, the falling leaves, and the weather. Ideas for naming a fall line of fabric? Hmmmm....maybe *Golden* (one of my favorite cities in CO and the name reminds me of the changing leaves). Or *Autumn Vineyard*! ~amy
ReplyDeleteSqueeeee!! You're giving away Fandango FQs? I think I'm hyperventilating! I love.Love.LOVE Fandango! {deep breath!}
ReplyDeleteOk.
Hmmmm...A name for "my" fall line? I would probably go with something like -Crisp Harvest-, because I love (and really miss) the crisp fall weather up north and harvest because, well, fall and because it can mean so much more...collect, gather, store, stash...
I'd name a fall collection..."Cedar Mountain"...my favorite place to drive to see the leaves change color in the fall.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I don't see a "follow" link on your sidebar.
Well even though i could see i wouldn't be #300 I signed up to follow! I have 2 layer cakes of Fandango sitting right now On my sewing table...they could use some companions!
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall collection Autumn Moon. Love, love, love the Fandango!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your designs! I wish I was a faster/better sewer so I could make more stuff with your fabric! If I had a fabric line I would call it "Breathe" because I love the smell of the air in fall.
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway Kate! GOod luck with the followers! Any dinner you don't have to cook is an awesome dinner!!!
ReplyDeleteUmm, Fabric line? Gatherings.
Depending on what I was going for, I think it would have to be Crunch, for crunchy leaves. Either that or maybe Simmer. Always reminds me of a good cookin' going on in the kitchen when it's a tad chilly outside :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway and lots of incentive. I've been a follower for a long time. I would name the fabric line 'reflections'.
ReplyDeleteHugs - Marie
That's a lot of fabric! I would name my collection Pumpkin Delight. I think anything I named would be food related, I think it adds good emotions of fond memories to things.
ReplyDeleteeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Cannot wait to get my hands on this! I was just working with Verna today. I think I would name my fall line "crisp" as in that crisp fall air that we're dyin' here for in the south!
ReplyDeleteDearest Kate! You know I love your designs with all of my fabric loving heart! My heart goes pitter pat whenever i see Fandango...as a matter of fact, my new exclamation is Fan-Dang-tastic. (seriously)
ReplyDeleteI would name my Fall line...Fall-tastic. Maybe not.
Love, Jana
Yay for Fandango!!!!! I would love it, love it, loooooooooooove it! Hmmm...a fall name, huh? How about Crocus & Chrysanthemum?
ReplyDeleteHmmm what would I name a fall line.... Pumpkin Meadow...., I love the orange purples brown, and the many colors that fall offers to bring us all. Warmth and Happiness!
ReplyDeleteSuch a kind giveaway! I'd name my collection, "Fall, in Love" and bathe it in rich, yummy and romantic shades.
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny. I would so love to win this fabric. I really LOVE the fabric! My fall line up? I think I'd call it "Apple Crisp." I love the crisp air and I love apple picking/canning season! Plus, the apple sort of goes along with the back-to-school thing. Thanks for the nice give away!
ReplyDeleteoh man....Kate, you already know just how much I love Fandango!! It is so pretty! I smile every time I look at my quilt made with it!
ReplyDeleteI know you won't have any trouble getting to 300 followers so when hubby takes you out, make sure you order dessert first! It's the best part of the meal you know ;)
And I'd call my fabric line Indian Summer. :)
xo
Fandango is absolutely amazing! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some of it. (ooo maybe this will be my lucky giveaway.) I think Hullabaloo would be a fun fall line name. Thanks for the amazing giveaway and congrats on the great line!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I think I would name my fall collection (if I ever had one) Cider Falls. I love Autumn...we are finally getting some cool air in the evenings here. I can feel fall coming and it is so very welcome after this hot and humid summer!
ReplyDeleteChanda
PS...Fandango looks really fantastic!
I have no idea what I would name my fall colorway- that's a tough question!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving Fandango though :) And I added you to my google reader, gotta get you that dinner ;)
Having never considered making a line of fabrics or what in the world I would name them, this is a hard question.
ReplyDeleteIf it had anything to do with yellows and golds, I'd call it Yellow Moon. That's as creative as I can get.
Being from New England, I think of foliage and all of the leaf peepers, so I'd probably name a fall fabric line "leaf peepers." BTW... Fandango is FANTASTIC!!! I just love the line.
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango! It's so pretty that I know I'll buy a ton of it even if I don't win your giveaway. :o)
ReplyDeleteIf I had a fall fabric line, I'd probably name it Acorn Lane or Acorn Meadow. I love acorns and decorate my house with them in the fall.
Hmm...if I were a designer I would name my fall collection something like "whispers of summer."
ReplyDeleteAnd I just love, love, love Fandango! :)
Fandango looks fab!! Very excited to get some yardage at my LQS.
ReplyDeleteFall line... hmmm...
"Waiting to Exhale"
Summer has been HOT! Holding my breath for Fall. Can't wait!!
fall line, huh? If I were designing I would be using darker purples and greens with a mix of modern geometric and floral prints. I'd name it Dreaming of You.
ReplyDeleteI hope you earn your dinner out!
I'd probably call a fall line of fabrics "Alpine" or "Alpine Lace."
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with Fandango! I think it's even more beautiful than Verna was!
River Reflections!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to call my quilt shop tomorrow - I got a Fandango charm pack and pieced a wall hanging top, but I was waiting for the yardage to figure out borders and binding! Love it! :)
steeplechaser29 (at) yahoo (dot) com
Thanks for the giveaway. Beautiful Fandango FQs..I'd have to go with Fall Paintbrush....so I could include the ALL the colors.
ReplyDeleteOmgosh I would love to win Fandango it's absolutely beautiful, the colors are amazing... If I were to have a Fall line I think I would name it Gatherings, because our family gathers together a lot in the fall for Pumpkin Patch, hiking and Thanksgiving. 8-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric collection!
ReplyDeleteFor a fall fabric line, I would call it "Fresh Air." That's what I'm looking forward to this fall after a suffocatingly hot summer.
Alice
harvest fare would be the name of my fall collection.
ReplyDeleteOh Fandango is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteBut if I were to name my own fabric collection, I would name it "Flying South" because I am the Goosegirl, and geese are getting ready to fly south for the winter.
First, Fandango is just that Fantastic dance...Now if I were a fabric designer and I had a fall collection, being I love fall the most of the seasons, I would call it simply" Apple Crisp" because it would include fresh, crisp fall colours. So there you have it...
ReplyDeleteAnd to a delightful night out.
blessings madame samm
Wow what an awesome giveaway!!! A fall line could be called Harvest love or Autumn Days.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and hope ya get to go out to dinner soon!! I am a follower now too!
Tracy Dawson
dawson.tracy35@yahoo.com
Oh Fandango be mine!
ReplyDeleteNow if I were a fabric designer and I was asked to do a collection for the fall that would be so easy for me...I would call it APPLE CRISP as it would harvest all the colours of fall and they would be so darn sweet...lol.
There you have it...to a lovely soon night out with your man...
blessings madame samm
Please don't include me in your drawing since I've won recently. I wanted to help you reach your post count and dinner out! And to say I'm so excited--I ordered Fandango for my shop today. It's a wonderful line!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to be your 300th but I am already a follower and have been for some time now!! LOVE the fabric...it's Fandago-lisheous! If I was a designer of Fall Fabric..I would call it Fall-en Leaves...see now you know why I'm NOT a designer!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteTake care and thanks for the chance to win!!
Paulette
I think I would name it Equinox. I love the official beginning of fall...cool nights, fresh air, warm sweaters, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI think I would name it Equinox. I love the official beginning of fall...cool nights, fresh air, warm sweaters, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove Fandango, what a yummy bundle!
ReplyDeleteIf I were naming a fall collection I think maybe Autum breeze or Serenity because I love the feel of autumn when it (finally) gets here after a long hot summer. And Serenity because it's just a peaceful time of year. ☺
I love this post - and I love Fandango - I already have some charm squares of it.
ReplyDeleteIf I hade a fall fabric collection I would have to have a name that would have to sum up all the things I love about fall - crisp mornings, the changing of the leaves, football, pumpkins, apple cider, shorter days, pot of soup on the stove..... Maybe I would call the line "Autumn Rituals".
Um, that is an insanely large, gorgeous stack of yumminess! I am probably way overthinking this but maybe something like Capistrano, but my concept of fall is wacky because I live in southern California ;). Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall collection "cinnamon spice". I follow your blog on my reader and really love it!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this awesome bundle of fabric. I am already a follower. I would name a fall collection Freefall after the colored leaves of fall.
ReplyDeleteWhat an great giveway. I would have to go with cider. Don't know why just what I think of for fall and makes me think of reds, oranges, and browns.
ReplyDeletewell my idea of Harvest has been well picked over...how about just Autumn. what about Cool Nights?
ReplyDeleteperhaps a peek at the colors or theme would help generate some names?
I say Foliage for a fall fabric collection. Where I live the foliage is just amazing!!! That is one of my favorite things about living in Maine during the fall season!! I hope this helps kate!! (and I would really love to win this bundle!!!) now i am off to follow, i was trying to wait and get to 300, but i got up way to early today, and am exhausted!!
ReplyDeletethanks,
stacey
luv2knitnsew@gmail.com
ps~chinese sounds good ;o)
If I were a fabric design, I call my fall collection 'Plantation Picnic' because thats when we have our annual family picnic at a local historic plantation.
ReplyDeleteI guess it would depend on the subject matter of the fabric (floral, leaves, pumpkins etc.), but I like the name Harvest Moon.
ReplyDeleteI think if I was a fabric designer, I'd name my fall line "Cinnamon and Cider." Those are two favorite scents that I think of when I think of the time between Summer and Christmas.
ReplyDeleteNo idea if that has ever been used before!
I already follow you on Google Reader, so I can't help you with your dinner plans! Sorry!
Following! I was number #293. :)
ReplyDeleteFor a fall line, I would probably go with Fair Isle. As in the sweater. Mmmm. Sweaters.
Oo, if I were a fabric designer, I would name my fall fabric line...Westerly Winds. I lived in Alaska for years and this is what comes to mind when I think about fall weather!
ReplyDeleteI'd call my fall line "Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes...like the weather" Great question! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango so much, it is just divine! If I was a designer I would call my Autumn range "Fruition" as it is the time of harvest and seeing the results of your hard work.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful line! If I had a fall fabric line to name I think I would name it after some fall food or spice like Chai or Fall Spice, but cooler! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this fabric, thanks for the chance to win! We love the fall weather in Illinois! You have such different names for your fabric lines, so the name you choose has to be unique, so my suggestion would be
ReplyDeleteCrisp
Love this line! It's so much fun and works for so many things--quilts, pillows, aprons, and on and on....
ReplyDeleteA fall line name? I think "equinox," especially if it has equal parts of light and dark!
love love love Fandango.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a collection coming out in the fall, I think I'd call it Fresh Horizons because fall always signals new school years for me and thus fresh beginnings/starts/horizons.
I think I'd call it Brisk! With the exclamation point, of course :) Something that captures the vibrance of fall and not just the mellow march towards winter.
ReplyDeleteFandago is beautiful - congrats!
I LOVE your Fandago line and would love to have some! If I were a designer, I think I would try to come up with something along the lines of "Falling for WHOOOOO" with owls, leaves, and berries. I'm really into owls right now. :)
ReplyDeleteI think Fall Madness would be a nice name for gorgeous fall fabrics. I am already a follower...love, love Fandango!!
ReplyDeleteFollower 297! :)
ReplyDeleteHow awesome would it be to design fabric! Fall is my favorite time of year. I think I would call it Amber. Its such a vibrant fall-ish color!
ReplyDeleteIf I was a designer I would name my fabric line 'fireplace'
ReplyDeleteI heart Fandango! I would call my Fall fabric line Moxie. I would, and do, call a lot of things Moxie, but this is a very good Fall word and I would use it in a flash!
ReplyDeleteLove fandango fabric! I am working with a layer cake of it now. If I were lucky enough to be a fabric designer I think I would name my fall line "going to the pumpkin patch".
ReplyDeleteKristin.Heaney@gmail.com
How about "Fall Harvest"? What a fun giveaway..thanks!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loving your Fandango ... already on the Christmas wish list :)!! Darn that I can't be number 300 as I've been following you for a while now! :( ... :)
ReplyDeleteMy fall line would be entitled "Homecoming" ... I'm a football fan and Fall is always time for thinking of home and homecoming games.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Harvest Moon- just saw the most beautiful moon. Thank for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably call it Harvest Crisp.
ReplyDeleteI just got some fandango precuts, I can't figure out what I want to do with it! That and my 12 days layer cake!
I love the Fandango line and would love a chance to win. I think I would call a Fall line, "TGIF" for Thank God It's Fall!
ReplyDeleteFandango! I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteHow about Cornucopia? Since it is a symbol of abundance and a fall is typically the end of the harvest season and there is often an abundance of fruits and vegetables.
Autumtide...Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall fabric line Autumnal Equinox! Fandango is beautiful, one of my all time favorites.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... my fall line --
ReplyDelete- The Giving Season (I'm thinking of harvest, and when the earth gives back to us, not so much Christmas)
- Amalgamation (because the weather, and season, and what-not "blend")
- Sunset (days start to get shorter)
- Until next Spring
- Tucking in
- Respite
Now I can stop coming up with names, because I found the one I like best... respite.
As farmers, when fall comes, even though the harvest is busy, it means life is slowing down. Yep, I'd name my fabric line "respite."
(And sorry I can't help you on the 300... I've been following for quite some time). :)
Wow! That's a tough one- I think it would have "appley" reds, oranges, golds, and some really rich browns, ummm, i think i might call it...
ReplyDeleteEQUINOX.
Mosaic d'rustico. I don't know! I'm fresh out of names after having 5 kids! I do love Fandango.
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric, think I would call an autumnal one Maple leaves
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite collection!!! A fall line would be Blessings or Thankful. Thank you for the chance to win this beautiful collection!
ReplyDeleteFabulous fabric! A fall collection - Waiting for Snow. I'm already a follower so can't increase your numbers - sorry!
ReplyDeleteI would call it Autumn's Bounty. I love Fandango! Such gorgerousness!
ReplyDeleteIf I was a fabric designer and having to name my fall line I think I would go with Autumn Splendor. I am already following. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteOoooh thanks for the give away chance - I love Fandango :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had to name a line of fall fabrics I'd call them Autumnal Blush
Ok........I have 5 kids so I'd go with a name like "Expectation"....when fall comes they start looking towards Christmas, Birthdays, Snow, etc.......and they "Expect" good and great things..........so that's my thoughts.....Love the Fandango......it was love at first sight.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! I started reading the comments and you have a few lovely ones allready! I love the suggestions of Aspen and Cedar Mountain. However, if I were to name a fabric collection, I would like to see what the fabric looks like first and be inspired by the shapes and colours so the name suits the line, if you know what I mean...
ReplyDeleteLove Fandango and am following you allready.
"Autumn Sunset"
ReplyDeleteBecause I would be sure to have Sunset colours in it, and we don't call it Fall here (Australia).
Of course we are lining up for spring (the blossom has started appearing) so perhaps my "fall line" should be called "Spring Skies":-).
I would name it Flutterby!!
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango! Its absolutely beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI'm awful at names I'd call a fall line something like Autumn Dance - because I love how autumn leaves dance in the wind!
Hi Kate! Fandango looks fabulous. And as I didn't have a clue what that word meant (sorry, no English native speaker) I found out that besides its intended meaning it's also the name of a fungicide...u-oh...;O).
ReplyDeleteI'm terribly bad in giving names. If I ever were to name a fall line I would probably end up with 3rd quarter of the year...okay, maybe not that bad...so ...maybe Equinox Leaves or Autumnal Breeze??
Thanks so much for sharing!
Julia
Oh, I love fandango so much! Actually, it's my current favorite and I dream of a fandango quilt since I've first seen your gorgeous new fabric line on the internet.
ReplyDeleteAs English isn't my mother tongue I don't have the best preconditions to find a smashing name for a fabric collection but when I think of fall/autumn I think of "indian summer", crop/harvest (-> "cream of the crop"?), golden light (-> "fields of gold"), falling leaves ("foliage").
Oh, and as I don't live in the U.S., please don't exclude me from the drawing. I would certainly pay for the shipping costs!!! :)
I LOVE Fandango, have already bought some pre-cuts and can't wait for the yardage.
ReplyDeleteI would call my fabric line "Autumn Jewels" - kind of after a song we used to sing in school when I was a girl and because I love the colours of autumn
Oh Kate - great attention seeking:) Love your fabrics and so pleased I have discovered your blog. I'm sure I am going to get a smile each time I read. Mmmmm fall (or as we call it autumn) names...... I would have to say 'Flutter & Float' was the first one to come to mind, then 'Dappled Light" was next. I could probably list a few more cos my brain is ticking away but don't want to overload you!!!!!! Hope you enjoy your meal out!!!!!! And will keep my Kiwi fingers and toes crossed. Ciao, Maree
ReplyDeleteFandango looks lovely ... loved Verna too. As for a title for a fall range how about Shades of Autumn of Autumn Slumbers.
ReplyDeleteIf I designed a fall line of fabric I think I would name it Pumpkin Patch and have lots of shades of orange and yellows.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a super giveaway...I'd like to be your 300th follower but I've been following your blog for a while now!
Ummm, maybe Apple Crisp for a name? Something that would bring to mind the crisp autumn leaves and the smell in the air.
ReplyDeleteFantastic giveaway! I see you're over 300 followers now--but I think most of us would have understood, without the need for a giveaway, if you said, "I don't have to cook if I get 300 followers.."! ;) I'll do just about anything to get out of cooking!
So excited to see all of those beautiful fabrics in person :D hmmm... naming is difficult, maybe 'new harvest' Sounds simple but a tiny bit modern to me.
ReplyDeleteI already follow you, so I was glad to see that you were over 300!
Wow I have never even thought about what to name a line. Hmmm how about Autumn in Appalachia? Oh and I am a follower. I hope you hit 300 so you get free dinner.
ReplyDeleteHow about "Rustling Leaves." I'm almost finished making a quilt from Verna and would LOVE to own some Fandango! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI would name it Scarlet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this amazing giveaway!
I'm already a follower! Glad you now have over 300!
ReplyDeleteLOVE Fandango!! Could roll around in it! :) I have a nice "collection" of all your other lines. I have not creative name for a new line so let's just name it after one of my children "Aubrey" I have great plans for that FQ pack when I win it :)
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall collection "Cider and Spice"! Seeing as that about sums up Fall in New England! Beautiful collection, by the way!!!
ReplyDeleteHow about "Persimmon Pudding" after one of my favorite fall desserts? Warm, rich, and sweet! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAutumn Light. I'm not very imaginative, but Autumn is my absolute favourite time of year. Fandango is a lovely name for what you created.
ReplyDeleteoh the yummy goodness! I think I would call a fall line pandora. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango! I love Fall too. Not sure what I'd name a collection. Fall Fantasy maybe?

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Kate! If I had a fall line, I'd call it Acorn Sunset. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi - I love your blog - and I love that fabric. I signed up to be a follower - maybe if you hit 310 you get dinner AND a movie night?
ReplyDeleteIf I had the opp to name a line it would be called Midwest ColourTour
Thanks for the chance to win
colleen
butler83ataoldotcom
I see you already hit 300 followers. I bet you have way more than that through rss subscribers like me! Just on bloglines there are 28 of us.
ReplyDeleteI would name my line Sundance
What a good question... Hmmmmm.
ReplyDeletePumpkin Spice?
Harvest? - I'm sure that's been done over and over
Apple Picking?
Naming a fabric line is HARD!! LOL! Oh. And I'm a follower already. :)
LOVE this fabric! Thank you for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteIf I was a fabric designer I would name my fall collection after my Golden Retriever Autumn Rose.
I bought her in the fall and she is one of the most beautiful dogs I have ever seen. Her red hair always makes me think of fall and my favorite flower is the single red rose. So her name became...
Autumn Rose
I've loved Fandango since I first spotted it in a candybar pack. It was love at first sight so to speak. Can't wait for Fandango to meet my sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteI love how sunlight looks in the fall. Maybe Autumn Glow?
ReplyDeleteI'd call that new line with all the beautiful fall colors "Autumnic Infatuation".
ReplyDeleteIf I were a designer, I would name my fall line Autumn Trails because it reminds me of driving through the countryside underneath a canopy of leaves that are every color of the rainbow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering a great giveaway!
Leslie
lcook at etex dot net
If I were a fabric designer, I think I would name my fall line "Crisp" - it describes so many things about fall in Michigan - the sounds of the leaves, the air, biting into an apple at the orchard.... I LOVE fall!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win some fandango - my best friend recently got married and requested a quilt made from your line!
abbybeth at hotmail dot com
Umm, Autumnal Explosion, maybe? Soo excited to see Fandango yardage showing up in stores!
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall collection Algonquin. Algonquin Park is a national park here in Ontario, Canada. Driving up there in the fall you see a sea of beautiful colours from the changing leaves. Camping there in the fall is just perfect -- not too hot, not too busy, beautiful colours and that wonderful crisp woodsy smell. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOh I would name mine Autumn Bliss. It's simple and to me, autumn is bliss!
ReplyDeleteYou have my attention! Love your Fandango line. I have been wanting to get my hands on some of it since you revealed it. Fall line....Cinnamon Toast!
ReplyDeleteOh, be still my heart !!!! I have been waiting, no stalking my quilt shops wait for Fandango. It's here, it's finally here. Can you tell I am so excited???
ReplyDeleteIf I were to name a fall line Hummmm, I think of fall as warm cozy colors and cool breezes, I would call it Cozy up to Fall.
Kate,
ReplyDeleteOooohhh I just love your fabric lines...I am working with 12 Days of Christmas now, making my Christmas quilt. I want Fangango so badly. I want to make the pinwheel sampler quilt from Rachel at P.S. I quilt.
If I had a fall line, btw I would love to design fabrics and quilts...maybe when I grow up..ha ha ha... I would name it something like Mumms the word (I love chrysanthemums in all there colors) or Morning Dew..since it greets me every morning.
I wish I could be your 300th but I am already a loyal follower of yours. Good luck on dinner, do you get to choose where you do for dinner?
i'd name mine easy, breezy- the cool breeze is my favorite part of fall! yay for your amazing giveaway! thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLove the Fandango fabric!
ReplyDeleteIf I were a fabric designer I would choose the name 'Vineyard' or 'Harvest'.
I love the Fandango, and have used the Verna for a few things already.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be a textile designer, but just don't have a clue. For years I have wanted to design a line of silly whimsical fabrics with an alpaca theme. Being an alpaca breeder, we want alpaca themed fabrics, just like dog lovers and cat lovers. If nothing else, the breeders would use it to decorate their booths at shows. This line would be called "A Paca Fun" or "Paca Tracks". For my Fall line, I'd have something eclectic and name it "Serendipity". None of them are very Autumnish. Oh, Well.
I've been a follower for quite some time, so sorry I can't get you out and into a restaurant. Today is my 38th wedding anniversary, and I'll be eating at home. Hey, my DH cooks.
I'm not quite sure what I would name a fall collection. Probably something "rustic" sounding, what can I say, I'm a nature girl, even though you couldn't tell it with all the girly girl quilts I've been making lately.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a designer, I'd name the Fall collection "Crisp & Cool".
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I have lots of ideas! I like 'Equinox' or 'Lost Lake' or perhaps 'Richford'
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, I love your Fandango line! Can't wait to get more than the charm pack of it that I have :)
Love this fabric! Thanks for the chance to win the generous array. For the fall fabric maybe Indian Summer or September Seduction. I just became a follower.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd name a fall collection Delicata, after the squash.
ReplyDeleteI'd call mine Eventide.
ReplyDeleteI would name a Fall collection "practically perfect" because I feel like the weather, holidays, and events during the Fall are just that :).
ReplyDeleteWhat jumped into my hear was "Gentle Wind", because of the leaves drifting down. Love the Fandango.
ReplyDeleteI would call mine "Apple Crisp"
ReplyDeleteMy fall line would incorporate fall colors, apples and tartans (I'm Scottish...) and I'd call it Mackintosh!
ReplyDeleteSuperNova or autumn splendor would be my choices.
ReplyDeleteFandango is sooooo gorgeous! That's a very, very generous giveaway!!! I would name a fall line "Splendors of Fall" because of all the gorgeous fall colors of the maple & oak trees, fall flowers etc.
ReplyDeleteJust off the top of my head how about "I fall for autumn". Love the Fandango line and I am excited to see it in the stores. Thanks for the generous giveaway. Hope you get your dinner.
ReplyDeleteI love me some Fandango!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Fall fabric line name suggestion:
"Falling Leaves"
I love autumn and I would name my line Leaves A Fall'n. The colors of fall are my absolulte favorite and the cool mornings, warm days, and crisp nights are my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteBlair
Oh, I love Fandango!! I want some so bad...
ReplyDeleteIf I were naming a fall fabric line..."Fallin' in Love"
How about "Fresh Start"? Seems like life picks up again in the Fall with school, Sunday school classes, club meetings, etc.?
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango!
I'd call it 'bus stop'! Once that school bus starts coming, I can get back to my sewing!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've made it to 300 - congrats!
ReplyDeleteI'd call my line "Les Bois". I live in Boise, Idaho and it's name comes from les bois which is french for 'the trees' (we're the City of Trees). It would be inspired by fall tree/nature colors.
Giddy Leaves. Yeah for Fall and Yeah for Kat Spain Fabrics!
ReplyDeleteCranberry Crush.
ReplyDeleteI have some charm packs of Fandango for a quilt along and I just love it all!
I would name my Fall collection Reflections. Am already a follower, hope you enjoy your evening out.
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango! I would name my fall fabric line Adair.
ReplyDeleteEvening Shadows would be the name - I love how the light and shadows begin to change as fall approaches.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous fabric! I would go with "Pumpkin Spice" from my favorite smell of Fall. That smell is enough to get me inspired!
ReplyDeleteI would name my Fall line, Evening Harvest.
ReplyDeleteI think my fall line would be Thankful. Autumn is my favorite time of year, and I'm always happy when it comes around. I'm thankful for my birthday, cake and thanksgiving. I'm thankful for my children's return to school. and this year I'm thankful to be having my LAST baby!!! Big fat hugs you Thesaurus lover. Bradie
ReplyDeleteI love Autumn. A time to wind down.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a designer, I'd name the line Autumn Dreams.
Oh that fabric is gorgeous!!! It sure does grab your attention. I would name my fall fabric line "Autumn Festival". The change in the air brings with it craft festivals that usher in the holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHere in Australia we're heading into spring so the trees are starting to get their leaves not losing them. But I do love the fall colors and that special fall smell. I would call my fabric line simply Autumn Leaves!
ReplyDeleteFandango was such a great name..how do you compete with that?
ReplyDeleteHow about "After the Harvest" or Harvest Moon; or Fire Mountain? The mountains in NC look like they are ablaze in autumn. It's a spectacular site when the leaves peak.
The fabric is beautiful - a fun name for fall collection "Candy Corn". "Golden Sunset" also came to my mind - we have beautiful sunsets in Kansas but in the fall they seem more golden and crisp.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you went over 300! Woo Hoo you don't have to cook. I probably would name a collection something like Autumn Harvest.
ReplyDeleteI would name it Blackberry Blossom. That is the name of a fiddle tune my daughter is learning and I just love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful give away! If I had a fall line, I think I would name it Pumpkin Glory. I love the colors you can find in pumpkins and squash in the fall!
ReplyDeleteSandy A
I am THE WORST when trying to come up with names .. but I love the fall, and when I think of the fall I think of cool nights ... so that would be my name "cool nights". Weird right?? TOLD YOU ... I am the worst at coming up with names ... (I am already a follower)
ReplyDeleteI would name a fall line Cool Breeze. Just what we're all waiting for!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate! Thanks for the giveaway! I hope you reach 300! I like "Hearth" for an indoor theme and "Breezy Leaves" for an outdoorsy theme.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I've never thought about naming a fabric line before. If I had to pick one it would have "Home" somewhere in the title, because fall makes me thing of family, hearth and home. Another gorgeous fabric line from you. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI love Fandango - If I was going to design an autumn (fall) collection I would design a Paris inspired collection - rich golds and oranges and magenta.. and call it "Les feuilles aux FALL"
ReplyDeleteMaple Gold would be my choice...a rich autumn gold as a basis for the colour, and could call in all the shades of maples from dark to lights...with veins running through the fabric!
ReplyDeleteExpectations is the first thing that popped into my head. I've signed up to follow you so hope that gets you a dinner. and Fandango is completely breathtaking!! best luck to you and thank you for the mega giveaway. kathiebugb@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteIf I were a designer I would call the line Autumn Splendor....this is a fabulous giveaway, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would name my fall collection, "Pumpkins on Parade"...since I love pumpkin fabric....nice give away and here is hoping you get that dinner the hubby has promised.
ReplyDeleteBridgette
I am entering for my wife... so if SHE were a fabric designer, she would probably call it something like Spooky or Eek. She loves Halloween.
ReplyDeleteKate, I would be ever so grateful to win these fat quarters! My first fall fabric line will be named "Grange Fair" (if you don't use it before I get to it...lol). Best wishes on your new line. I know it will be just as wonderful as 12 days of Christmas (in which I have invested heavily!) and Fandango.

I hope you pick me, I am a new quilter and would love to win!!!
ReplyDeleteI would call a fall collection "Remembering September" from a beautiful broadway musical called "The Fantasticks.". There is a pretty song called "Try to Remember" and it talks about the golden month of September, mellow, yellow grain, etc. I was in the playy in high school and again as an adult with the same people, so fun, so the name has a great personal meaning... This ended up being a long story!
ReplyDeleteI have loved Fandango since I saw it in May. What a generous giveaway!
I would call it Otono which is fall in portuguese.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous line! I hope I win! I would have to name my fall fabric Early Dusk.
ReplyDeleteKate, we got our Fandango yesterday and it is just nummy!! I can't wait to created something with it!!
ReplyDeleteYa done good!
Nadine
I like autumn glory, a fair to remember....fall is when the fairs are, right? Autumn rhapsody.....ooh, EQUINOX. That's my fave!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your dinner with your DH! You've earned it!!
Probably name it October Road, even though there is a song with that name. But I love October and love driving through fall leaves!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Breezy or First frost. Something quick, simple, and easy to pronounce for everybody!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great giveaway!! Some people proposed really good names!! I would name the line: "September wind" or "When September blows"... I was born in September, you see, as it is my favorite month of the year :) Another name would be "Viento" which means "Wind" in Spanish and sounds pretty good :)
ReplyDeleteOh what a treat it would be to win all that prettiness!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season so maybe I would call it, "Perfectly Lovely" or just "Lovely" because that's what most fall days are like. But then there's the spicy colors and scents of fall so "Fall Spice" and the colors could be names after spices...
I would dearly LOVE some Fandango - it would be fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteI might name a fall line something like Autumn Harvest. I really prefer using the termm autumn to fall and love anything autumn - the word feels cozy when the weather is turning. I'm not into Halloween terms - just me. Hope you get the dinner any ways too!!
I am in love with Fandango and would love to win this!
ReplyDeleteI would call my fabric line Spinning Autumn. I love the way the leaves spin as they fall from the trees.
You had me @ 12 Days Kate but Fandango is downright delicious :) The Fall or Autumn as we call it here in OZ is my favourite season of all... May I suggest 'Russet Morn' I adore the colours & hues that conjures for me...
ReplyDeleteA fall line? I'd call it Dance of the Leaves. You've done it again, Kate. These fabrics are simply beautiful. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteWhen I think about fall, all I can think about is cozy, cuddle time watching football! HA! So I think I'd name my fabric line Autumn Slumber - it reminds me of the lazy cozy days of autumn!
ReplyDeletewoohoo i think youre going out to dinner tonight. i just clicked follow and its already at 326. thanks so much for this giveaway...it really is monstrous (sp?). its so whimsical and fun. if i were to name a fall line id call it cinnamon harvest. i dont know why those two words popped in my head. :)
ReplyDeletehave fun tonight!
I think I would call it 'Cinnamon Spice'. It reminds me of the candles I start to burn in my house that time of year. And I've started following you now!
ReplyDeleteI am a new quilter and I would love to win fabric!
ReplyDeleteIf I were a designer I would name my collection Fall Sophistication... it's a time where everyone is more dressy and I LOVE IT!
