Paradiso — Fairytale Dress and A Giveaway!

We're getting excited as we near the ship date for my upcoming fabric line for Moda Fabrics, Paradiso! Some projects have already been popping up and when we spotted this one, we knew we had to share it with you.
Becca DuVal created a dreamy storybook dress for her adorable daughter, Kaelyn, using a few of the prints from Paradiso. She also did the styling and photography and, well, the photos speak for themselves. **Beware, there is so much cute ahead it's almost unbearable!**

Bodice front, front lining, back and back lining: 3/8 yard of Paradiso 27200-25
Skirt chevron middle: ¼ yard of Paradiso by Moda 27200-25
Straps: 1 yard of 27205-15
Skirt chevron top and bottom: 1 yard of 27205-15
Skirt top and bottom: 1 yard of 27204-15
Lining: 1.33 yards of 27203-21

    I really like all three patterns, but I think Destination is my favorite. Something about the interlocking light and dark colors. Paradiso is gorgeous, and this jelly roll could come play with the FQ bundle of Horizon I got for Christmas.... ;-)

    Oh what an absolute doll! The dress is pretty cute too. LOL I would choose Destination because my kids are all starting their careers etc and finding their Destinations. The hard part would be deciding who to give it to... Thanks for the fun!!

    I would pick destinations! As a new quilter all the triangles in Shangri-Law and Tradewinds feel a little overwhelming. Also I think destinations would be the perfect way to showcase the beautiful design details of the Paradiso colorways!

    I saw this fabric and fell in love with it, not realizing that my favorite designer-you-designed it. Well no wonder then. I would make Tradewinds-it is a little bit whimsical and a little bit traditional. I like that.

    Since I have Trade Winds and Destination, Shangrila is my choice! Working on my king size Horizon quilt but I got my Paradiso fat quarters and can't wait to get into them. Keep up the good work Kate! You keep me quilting!

    If I had to choose, I would say "Destination." It is a quilt that fits the best with my taste. They others are pretty as well, but "Destination" is defiantly my favorite. I haven't really worked with triangles yet, as I am a new quilter and haven't gotten to them yet. That may be why I went with the straight cut quilt.

    I like the way Destination reminds me of a maze or puzzle. All the patterns are lovely but I am a beginner and think they would be a bit difficult for me. I would try though and I have some Horizon here to put with the Paradiso!

    I would chose Destination. I love the names of the quilts - makes me want to go on vacation. The Destination quilt reminds me of the many side trips that can enhance the enjoyment of a vacation. Going the "scenic" route is much better than traveling in a straight line.

    Undoubtedly Tradewinds is my favorite pattern. It showcases the fabrics so perfectly! And all of those triangles together makes such a stunning final product. Loved the pattern the moment I saw it in all the pictures from Quilt Market!

    I love Tradewinds! I feel like Shrangi La would show off the gorgeous prints better, but I love the small, all which says look of Tradewinds and think it really would make each print and color pop. Loveeeeeee Paradiso!!!

    Paradiso calls out for the Tradewinds pattern, I'd love to make it, it evokes sailing the coral seas with the wind in your hair....very romantic! The dress and the little girls are both gorgeous...again, very romantic, just like a princess. Julie_simtq@iprimus.com.au

    I really like the destinations pattern - it reminds me of subway maps in the fun cities I have lived and I LOVE the Paradiso fabric....beautiful like ALL the Kate Spain lines!

    Shangri-La is my favorite because it shows off your beautiful prints so well! I love it! And I do have some Horizon fabric left over from a queen sized quilt project that I made for my son's wedding quilt. It would go fit in perfectly!!!

    Destination using both Paradiso and Horizon fabrics.. Love ALL your fabrics so fresh looking and no matter what pattern I choose your fabric makes my quilt beautiful.

    I would use shagri-la I love that pattern it's been popping out online a lot lately and I'm fascinated by its beauty. I usually prefer patterns that have large pieces cause I like seeing the fabric designs and colors to be the focus of the quilt and this pattern would be perfect for paradiso

    The beautiful Paradiso fabric line is stunning in all three patterns!.... But I think I would make it in the Destinations quilt first! That pattern showcases the fabrics well, and the interlocking paths, Celtic knots/labyrinth look of the blocks draws the eye from one showcased fabric to another, in a pleasing, intriguing way!

    Shangri-La. I saw a picture of the quilt taken at Quilt Market Houston here: http://www.diaryofaquilter.com/2014/11/quilt-market-houston-2014.html -- and I really like it. The pattern definitely makes the colours pop and it looks fun to put together.

    I choose Tradewinds because of the flying geese and to make myself make them right. And I'm really a traditional quilt lover and Tradewinds looks the most classic to me. Kaelyn and her dress and cape look beautiful and charming.
